Masjid Usia City Kota Kinabalu
Located at the old part of town in Kota Kinabalu (Bandaran), the mosque was originally a church building but was converted to a mosque after World War II ended. One of the oldest building to have survived the war, the mosque still retains its architectural foundation and design of the original building.

Sabah Islamic Civilization Museum
Established on April, 2020. The museum showcases the history of the spread of the Islamic religion and culture throughout Southeast Asia. There’s also an Islamic World gallery located at the first floor, which displays ancient Islamic handicraft from Middle Eastern countries such as Turkey, Egypt, Iran, Moroco & India. The Borneo Islamic Gallery is also located at the same floor which showcases a number of Islamic antique collection from Sabah and its neighbour Sarawak and Brunei.

Kota Kinabalu State Mosque
The Kota Kinabalu State Mosque has been operational since 1977. Its embodies the traditional & modern Islamic architectural design. What’s unique about it is its dome which is inlaid with gold and dove grey honeycomb pattern. It is also surrounded by 16 giant pillars with small golden domes.

Likas City Mosque-Floating Mosque
Situated near the sea, this majestic white mosque boasts similar features to the Nabawi Mosque in Medina. This floating mosque has a prayer hall which houses three madrasahs and accommodates from 9,000 to 12,000 people at a time. By far the largest mosque in Kota Kinabalu, the Kota Kinabalu City Mosque is even possibly the most beautiful one in Malaysia – the man-made lagoon which surrounds it gives a serenely gorgeous and dramatic look to the mosque on a full moon night.
