Mengalum Island is abundant in groupers, snappers, mackerels and other reef fishes, with a majority of hard corals, such as stag-horn corals, lettuce coral and table corals. Clownfishes and butterfly fishes can be often spotted swimming around the flourishing corals, which are enormous in size, intact providing the perfect natural habitat that nested a diverse kinds of underwater animals.
